British Flowers Week 2023 | Floral Installation by Sage

British Flowers Week 2023 has begun! Five stunning floral installations have been created to celebrate. This year’s theme is ‘New Beginning’ and you can see all the florists’ designs at the Garden Museum in London until Monday, 12th June.

I was honoured to be commissioned by the Museum to take photographs on Wednesday of all the designs. And this is the first one I’ll be featuring called ‘Pools’ and created by Sage using British flowers. Iona and Romy said:

We have chosen to interpret the theme ‘New Beginnings’ by focusing on one of the oldest and most serene areas of the Garden Museum – the baptismal font. We have incorporated mirrors into the florals to emulate pools of water, echoing the central focus of water in the act of baptism. We invite you to walk ‘through’ the flowers, using the mirrors to gain new perspectives of the design and navigate the path of the baptism.

Look out this Sunday on my YouTube channel for a video featuring all the installations. And the meantime, scroll down to see lots more images of Sage’s stunning installation featuring peonies in a myriad of different shades, together with cornflowers, sweet peas and roses.
