Winter Flowers Week is currently taking place at the @gardenmuseum in London. And it runs until this Monday, 9th December.

On Wednesday, I was kindly commissioned again by the museum to capture the beautiful floral installations by @jamjar_flowers, @harrietparryflowers, @u.fl.o.london, @fridakim_london and @wagnerjk.

It was so lovely to catch up with everyone there. As one person commented, I may have closed the Flowerona business, but I’ll always be Flowerona… 😉

Travelling back in time to last month when I visited Vienna as part of a @vikingcruises ‘Romantic Danube’ river voyage.

One of the highlights was when we went to a recital by the @wiener.residenzorchester (Vienna Residence Orchestra) and they played ‘The Blue Danube’ by Johann Strauss II.

The final port of call on my ‘Romantic Danube’

The final port of call on my ‘Romantic Danube’ river trip with @vikingcruises - the medieval town of Regensburg, Germany.

I was amazed to see evidence of preserved Roman-era buildings in the city centre. As Regensburg is at the northernmost point of the Danube, it was chosen by the Romans as the boundary of their empire!

Just a few of the incredibly ornate 1,441-rooms inside 18th-century Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, which we visited one afternoon whilst on the @vikingcruises Romantic Danube river trip.

During the reign of Maria Theresa (Queen of Hungary and Bohemia 1740-1780), it was the imperial summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty.

Postcards from Passau, Germany - one of the ports of call on our Romantic Danube river trip with @vikingcruises.

This first photo shows how close we moored to the town centre. And we were in good company with another Viking river ship.

Situated at the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz, Passau is also known as the ‘City of Three Rivers.’

The old town below is known for its baroque architecture, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, featuring distinctive onion-domed towers and containing one of the largest church organs in the world; this organ. Built in 1928, it has more than 17,000 pipes.

Lunch alfresco, sitting in the sunshine on @viking

Lunch alfresco, sitting in the sunshine on @vikingcruises Gullveig’s Aquavit Terrace in Passau, Germany last week - these photos bring back such fond memories!

The high standard and deliciousness of the food onboard Viking’s ships never ceases to impress me.

That day I chose the Energy Bowl which included romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, quinoa, avocado, tomatoes, marinated chicken and remoulade sauce, followed by chocolate mousse. Plus a complimentary local white wine.

On the river ships, there are two places you can eat - either in the Restaurant or the Aquavit Terrace. It’s open seating, so no need to book and there’s no formal dress code.

And each day, there are new dishes on the lunch and dinner menus, together with Classics which are always available. You’ll be really spoilt for choice!
